From left to right, doing some cosplay, Hip-Hop, Techno, and Orchestra
Height: 6'0” Weight: 165 pounds Eye color: Aqua normally, steel green in combat Hair color and style: Blonde, tied up into a small ponytail. Blue and messy without the ponytail in combat. Identifying marks: Trademark clothing, knife on a chain, eyes, and hair when in combat Clothing:
Hwan has two separate outfits for his two separate identities as Eiji Hino, average university sophomore, and Hwan Ji Wook Young, currently the world's most wanted terrorist mastermind. As Eiji Hwan wears rather typical clothing composed of hoodies and jeans, rarely wearing anything else simply because he doesn't find it comfortable. He also doesn't carry a bag or any textbooks for school seeing as how he rarely goes and even more rarely pays attention to his classes. All he will ever have on him at a time is an aqua-coloured cell phone which must be replaced monthly since he always ends up either breaking it or losing it, and his wallet which contains your usual credit cards and ID cards along with a spare fifty bucks or so. As his true self, Hwan wears a loose-fitting taekwondo gi colored dark blue along with a large, flowing hooded jacket. Said jacket is iconic of his terrorist image with both the blue silk scarf he wears inside it and the multitude of scarfs tied around his waist and arms which gives him a flowing image when he runs. He also goes completely barefoot as his true self, and leaves his hands completely unprotected as well. Finally, Hwan as a large knife blade that has no handle attached to a ten foot chain that is attached to the back of his coat where the base of his spine is. This is usually referred to as his “tail” due to his particular method of using the knife.
Powers
Type of Power: Electromagnetic Control, Soul of the Imoogi
Manifestation: Manifests in the form of major electric discharges around Hwan's general area. Within 10 feet of Hwan is a highly charged electromagnetic field that would immediately short out and destroy unprotected electronic devices of any calibre. Of the four physical forces in the world, Hwan manipulates one of the strongest and as such he is able to perform feats of magnetism that actually removes the usual limitation of requiring metal. Hwan can ascend stone walls with his feet alone and even attract and repulse people and objects utilizing the natural electromagnetic field surrounding them. The usual use of this power is to both levitate his “tail” and use it as a deadly, unpredictable weapon and to power up his punches, kicks, and other strikes to such a level that they easily crush steel. Although Hwan cannot punch through all substances, or highly reinforced steel walls what makes him even more horrifically dangerous is the sheer impact he can deliver. It's actually better to just let Hwan punch through something because if he encounters something he cannot pierce then he will begin to use his martial arts training to actually deliver explosive bursts of pure kinetic energy through what he punches and detonate it inside. This has caused a very gorey death for many armored Beowulf units as he will deliver a strike directly to their chest but detonate the force in the area past their armor causing those who open up the armor to find nothing but bloody chunks left behind as if a grenade had been detonated in their stomach. Hwan's strikes are powered utilizing railgun principles where he will charge his fist and the target area of his opponent oppositely and then create an ionized track that it will accelerate along until it reaches the impact point. If that doesn't work, Hwan opts for the 3rd option which is to simply launch you. A concentrated strike can send even the heaviest objects flying, and his record right now is to send an entire truck flying through the air for approximately fifty feet. Hwan can also use this to traverse distances in a short amount of time by ionizing his entire body which turns him into a human railgun. As such he cements his image of an inhuman monster during combat by jumping around and running far faster than any normal soldier could perceive him.
The main weakness of this power is that Hwan could quite easily kill himself if he uses it wrong. The force generated by a single blow is actually enough to cause Hwan's arm to explode completely upon impact. If tripped in the middle of a dash while he is ionized, he would literally go flying THROUGH a wall. If he applies his force wrong, he could easily blow one of his limbs off. As such, with this power by itself all Hwan is relegated to doing is minor magic tricks and creating a magnetic forcefield to stop high-speed metallic objects such as bullets.

Type of Power: Manipulation of the body's chemical composition, Body of the Imoogi
Manifestation: Using a small ring that has been pierced into Hwan's tongue, Hwan can enact a transformation that causes him to become something along the lines of a half-man, half-lizard. His hands and feet will immediately gain hard green scales, his nails grow into dark claws, and his tongue can also imitate that of a snake's. His eyes will also become steel green and when his innate Candeoan powers come into effect, the massive electric charge he carries will ionize the pigments in his hair causing them to become blue. Hwan's skin becomes extremely hard which allows him to take massive amounts of punishment, with blunt weapons breaking on his skin, bladed weapons actually folding and snapping upon impact and non-piercing weaponry simply bouncing off his body. Hwan can even take explosions from things like grenades or a rocket round to the face and come out living. His strength will increase under this transformation to a degree where he can grapple and carry several people at the same time. The most dangerous part of this transformation however is the effect on Hwan's senses. He can track someone from a mile away with his smell, discern even the tiniest details with his touch, becomes even more brutal than he usually is as a food critic, and can hear a cat meow from a half-mile away. His sight also receives a massive boost, as even the most well trained human can only see and think at a rate of 80 frames per second. Hwan can view objects at a rate of 360 frames per second.
Yet despite how strong he becomes in this transformation, it is not without limits. Although his threshold for pain is increased and it takes much more to damage him, Hwan still takes damage. Pistol rounds hurt, feeling like hard punches from a trained fighter unguarded. A shotgun round is like a champion boxer's punch straight to the gut and unless Hwan puts up a proper guard, such an impact will easily stun him. Rapid-fire weapons are just as deadly and if Hwan ever takes multiple rounds to the head he will be knocked out. Even though he can survive them, explosions from things like grenades have the potential to be deadly and more than one can break Hwan's bones. Hwan's transformation is also limited to a single day at most, and after this he's forced to take an entire week off to recuperate and restore his energy. Funnily enough, he can speed this up or in some cases lengthen his time transformed if he is able to eat and drink. However this takes immense amounts of food to extend his time and Hwan has a voracious appetite. It would take something along the lines of a full grown bull's weight in food to give Hwan an extra day of time.

Personal
Personality:
Hwan is a bit of an ass. He's rather confident of himself, and for good reason as he lives a life most young men would die for, or rather would have died in long ago. He is a master manipulator of both his personal image and the emotions of others considering he has been able to juggle a social life, a still-rising music career, martial arts training, and horrible acts of terrorism without anyone being the wiser. Most people would lose their sense of self trying to play so many radically different people at once, but Hwan manages it because all the people he pretends to be are actually just extensions of certain aspects his personality. As Eiji, Hwan plays the cool-faced, handsome modern man who moved as a kid to Kenvector in order to have a better life. He's polite and genial, but also a joker and teaser who usually has no trouble using indirect comments to pick up women. He keeps up with his friends when he can but also has a “job” that constantly requires his attention. Eiji is usually found sleeping in his classes but manages to pass most of them fine seeing as how he just crams at home or gets the smarter girls in his class to help him study. If not at school, he's out on the town and can be found at bars and nightclubs in the same outfit, clashing against the suits and party-wear of the other clubbers but somehow blending into the crowds seamlessly.
His first job requires Eiji to disappear for a bit, and Hwan will shift between his three other identities, Orchestra, Hip-Hop, and Techno of the new hit band The Dance Floor. Officially, they have a story where they all used to be pen-pals who would communicate through letters and chatrooms since they were kids and tried by themselves to start music careers. However they couldn't get far enough and despaired. They decided to move to Kenvector where they met each other by chance and the three friends formed a trio, mixing in their combined strengths to create something new. This is actually a lie, as Orchestra, Hip-Hop, and Techno are actually Hwan's three favourite genres of music he uses as their stage names. Hwan knew that if he came out as a single artist it would be easy for fans to track him down, and so created these three identities that make it virtually impossible for even the most dedicated fan to find him. You can't even notice that the three actually share some similar facial features and height because Hwan always uses make-up, wigs, costumes, and even tall shoes to make the three different from each other. The only one who contains even a passing resemblance to Hwan is Techno, who shares Hwan's blonde hair albeit much brighter than usual. Fittingly, Orchestra is an aloof, regal person who is described to allegedly have a soft side while Hip-Hop is the hot-blooded member of the group with Techno being quiet and withdrawn. Hwan also solidifies the story of the trio coming from different parts of the world by choosing to speak a particular language when dressing as them. Orchestra is Japanese, Hip-hop is Korean, and Techno speaks Mandarin Chinese so whenever Hwan appears during a live event he makes sure to sprinkle his speech with those languages.
Lastly, there is The Imoogi. An Imoogi is a type of Korean dragon, a great lizard something like an eel that swims in the sea. As the Imoogi, Hwan is brutal, savage, and beast-like with little to no care for others. The Imoogi has an intense hatred for the Beowulves and is known to attack them on sight, but amongst Orochi cells there is also a fear of the Imoogi. The Imoogi is the only member of the Orochi Eight who both works alone, and is feared by the terrorist network itself. His movements are unpredictable and he's been known to slaughter friend and foe alike. He also seems to target certain cells of the gangs, but usually they are committing crimes other than terrorism like drug trafficking and human abduction. This is due to the fact that the Imoogi is Hwan's personal sense of justice, and Hwan plans to punish all evil doers whether friend or foe.
Who Hwan really is, is mostly a mystery. It may be that he has no “true self” and instead is just one man living vicariously through multiple people.
History:
Most people are proud of their lineage. They could be related to celebrities or politicians. They could be descended from heroes or the rich. Hwan has a very odd lineage, but one he is very proud of. Hwan's mother, Kim Hye Jung, is the “original” Imoogi. In a rural village in Korea, they carried a very proud and long-lasting tradition where they had a legend that every generation, one girl in the village would not be human. She was a blessing. In reality, this girl would be the Imoogi incarnate and on her 12th birthday they would throw this girl into the sea to return her to her true parents so that the greater Imoogis would bless the village with a good harvest.
They seemed to be rather blind to the fact that throwing a 12 year old girl into the sea tended to kill the girl.
Kim was identified as the Imoogi when she was six years old as for some strange reason her nails began to grow very sharp and she had a few scales on her arms. In reality she was a carrier of the Candeoan gene, and this particular strain would slowly change the DNA of the carrier to that of a lizard's. However she was saved from this fate because at that time there was a mass purge in Korea of all Candeoans. Officials saved Kim from the villagers but then sent her all the way to Kenificus Vector where she began to spend her days in a Candle Farm where she was experimented on. The scientists in Kenvector were attempting to see if they could accelerate her transformation and eventually that found a manner with which to force Kim to transform after four years of research. They first began a psychological reconditioning where they mentally tortured Kim and attempted to force her to battle the other Candeoans. They eventually were able to make Kim become extremely docile most of the time until they would enact a mental trigger in the form of the sound of a gunshot that would immediately cause Kim to go into a blind rage. Secondly, they concocted a compound of several growth hormones and body augmenters such as adrenalin and steroids that would be flooded into her system via an injection into the arm. This, combined with her berserker rage would cause the five and a half foot Kim to immediately mutate into a half-man, half-lizard hybrid. She would suddenly become eight feet tall and grow massive muscles, with a fully developed tail and her body completely covered in scales. Kim had the power to flip cars easily, her massive jaw could crunch raw steel and getting swiped by her tail would guarantee broken bones. However the process wasn't exactly enjoyable for Kim. Mutating and then slowly returning to a human shape was taxing on her body and mind, and killing the other Candeoans during the trial experiment haunted her nightly. Wondering if her torture would ever end, Kim dreamed that one day a hero would come and save her from her torment.
One day, Kim was forced to transform again and was fighting a relatively new addition to the Candle Farm. Kim was only 17, but little did she know that the twenty-two year old man standing across in a fighting stance was her future husband.
Suk Hyun Young was not your average man. At his peak, he was essentially the world's most wanted “terrorist”. The quotations were added due to the fact that Suk was only a terrorist to the government. To everyone else, he was a bona fide hero. He started as your average kid from Seoul, but one day was taught martial arts by his cousin in the army. It was then that Suk discovered that he was a Candeoan as well. He essentially had the mythical power martial arts commonly spoke of, “ki”, “chi”, “life force” whatever you called it, he somehow had the ability to use it. At only 17 he was suddenly arrested by the government for using his powers as a Candeoan illegally during the purge. He was jailed, but Suk decided he didn't give a damn what his government thought and broke out through the walls. He would then spend years wandering around the world, improving his skills by assaulting government compounds and single-handedly destroying them. He would also overturn oppressive regimes and spent most of his time saving others, which made him into a hero figure amongst the poor and destitute. He was eventually captured by Beowulf forces and taken to Kenvector, but only because he gave himself up in order to save the lives of a hostage during a stand off.
Suk was the first person to fight Kim to a tie. He had seen her outside her transformed form and it only solidified his anger at the government. He had no idea how they could force such a young and vulnerable girl to become such a monster on their beck and call. A year after he was captured, Suk broke his way out with his own two fists and freed all the other Candeoans, taking Kim with him personally. They attempted to escape Kenvector but found no way to traverse The Wall because their faces were on every wanted ad in the city. So they chose to hide themselves, finding allies and taking alternate identities in order to live normal lives in the city till they could break out. However after a year of being partners in crime together, Kim and Suk realized how close they were to each other and got married, deciding to leave behind their past lives and just try to make the best of the present. They took on the identity of Mari and Norihiko Hino, and soon Kim gave birth to a baby boy. Officially, the boy was named Eiji Hino but between Kim and Suk, their son's name was Hwan Ji Wook Young.
Hwan was the son of two Candeoans and was thus born a full Candeoan himself. However he was never tested for the gene and discovered as his parents were registered to not have a single Candeoan gene and thus on paper is was assumed Hwan was your average human boy. He grew up in a loving home and made friends like any other child but always wondered why he and his parents had two names and why it was important not to talk to police officers or any government officials. Kim was also hiding a secret from Hwan. The years of drug therapies were taking their toll on her and at night she had painful partial transformations that went away by morning. She seemed focused on a simple ring during these times and would disappear for a few days but come back looking better during the worst of these times. Hwan eventually stumbled upon one of these transformations and his parents revealed to him when he was eight who they really were and who he really was. He was surprised, but at the same time excited and wanted to know their whole story. So he found out about the horrible Candle Farms and what the government was doing from his father, and his mother told him that the ring was actually a piece of Kenificus tech someone on the underground was crafting for her. It helped stabilize her transformations and kept her human looking.
Hwan knew that he now had a power and asked his dad to train him teach him how to fight so he could help the other Candeoans in the Farms. Thus, he was taught martial arts and discovered his power, his father deciding that someone like Hwan could carry on his work for him. Hwan learned extremely quickly, and began to show his own sort of intelligence as he was adept in hiding his identity behind people. At 16, Hwan discovered a particular gift for music and familiarized himself with the scene. At 18, Hwan moved out of his parent's house and into an apartment he lives in by himself, but also began to come out as The Imoogi. He started small, playing pranks and being a minor convenience but within a year he was performing full on raids and abusing Beowulf units whenever he could. Hwan mastered his powers around 20 when he retained full control over his mother's ring and took out his first Candle Factory by himself. However it was also the first time he had been forced to kill. It haunted Hwan at first but eventually he realized that sacrifices had to be made and he would sacrifice those who would protect such heinous crimes against humanity. At twenty-one Hwan had done so much damage to the Beowulves he was actually labelled a member of the Orochi Eight and chuckled as he was given the title of the Imoogi. However he was also running into trouble with his identity being discovered as he only had two main identities as Eiji and the Imoogi at the time. So Hwan tried his hand at music, and to his delight found record companies willing to sign him to which he jumped at the chance. Currently, The Dance Floor is the new hottest band to hit the music scene in Kenvector and Hwan is skillfully hiding in plain sight of everyone. His latest achievement that had vaulted him into the headlines once more as the Imoogi, has been the entire slaughter of the 13th Unit of the Beowulves. They were defending another Candle Farm when Hwan burst in and used his bare hands to slaughter or permanently maim most of the members. He was able to destroy the entire farm, but let none of the staff or Candeoans survive seeing as how it was mostly a prison facility for the more violent members of the Orochi. Not long after a mech hit the place and Hwan was able to make a daring escape after punting the thing like a chicken through several walls of concrete and then making a wild dash.
For now, Hwan is just waiting for the next big target for him to strike. In his mean time he's mostly just waiting around and chilling downtown. Of course he's also idly looking for someone. He's rather positive that someone from the 13th unit is still alive and kicking. He doesn't know their name or face, but he's got a good hold on their scent.
He just wants to finish the job is all.
